父亲节不同的庆祝时间

从中世纪以来，欧洲的天主教国家就将每年的3月19日作为圣父日来庆祝（Saint Joseph's Day）；其起源甚至可以追溯到1508年，真的很久远了。

在这种传统被西班牙人带去美洲后，在美国，索诺拉·斯马特·多德（Sonora Smart Dodd）决定将6月第三个周末设定为父亲节，并于1910年首次举办庆祝活动。
这也就是现在最具代表性的父亲节的来历啦！

至于为什么选择这个日子，索诺拉表示，她将父亲节设立在这一天是为了纪念在美国一次矿难中逝世的工人。
